What is False Echo Suppression?
False echo suppression teaches a radar or ultrasonic transmitter to ignore echoes from fixed obstructions inside the tank.
False Echo Suppression Explained
Ladders, agitators, nozzles and welds reflect signal. The transmitter records an echo map of the empty or partly empty tank and suppresses these echoes so it tracks the real surface.
Do the mapping with the level low, and only up to just above the surface, otherwise the real level echo may be suppressed.
