How to Convert Flow Coefficient Units
The flow coefficient rates a valve's flow capacity. Cv is US gallons per minute of water at 1 psi pressure drop, Kv is m³/h of water at 1 bar drop, and Av is the SI form in m². In practice 1 Cv ≈ 0.865 Kv and 1 Kv ≈ 1.156 Cv.
